Beginner - Learn basic language skills to introduce yourself and others, ask and answer questions, and write a brief note.  Study regular present tense verbs and common irregular verbs, as well as negation to allow you to enjoy simple interactions in your target language.   As you progress to an intermediate level, you will be able to talk about your interests and activities.   You will also learn common idioms, how to present and respond to invitations, and give instructions.  Beginners will continue to study present tense irregular verbs, and begin to discuss events in the past.

Intermediate - Speak with more detailed descriptions, expressing appreciation, explaining situations, and giving recommendations. Study prepositions, pronouns, articles, and the imperfect verb tense.   Use more complex vocabulary to relate past situations to current circumstances using time indicators.
